Butyl Cellosolve acetate belongs to the family acetate of 2-butoxyethanol. It is extensively used across varied industries due to the favorable properties listed below

Specialty printing inks use Butyl Cellosolve acetate for slow evaporation, aqueous systems use it as freeze-thaw agent, Fuel System Icing Inhibitor (FSII) and are cosolvents for waterborne industrial coating systems. In addition to these uses they also serve as coupling solvents for hard-surface cleaners and soap-hydrocarbon systems, chemical reaction solvents and cosolvents for conventional lacquer, enamel and stains for industrial coating systems.
